Terms
Terms of Service
The ground rules for using LavaBot and this website. By adding the bot or creating an account, you agree to what is below.
Last updated: June 4, 2026
Using the service
What you can expect, and what we expect back.
- LavaBot is offered for community moderation and management. Add it to servers you run or help run.
- You are responsible for how the bot is configured and used on your server, including which logging and moderation features you enable.
- You must follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines while using LavaBot. Nothing here overrides them.
- You must be old enough to use Discord in your country to use LavaBot.
Acceptable use
Do not be the reason we need this section.
- Do not use LavaBot to harass, dox, spam, or target anyone, or to break the law.
- Do not try to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the bot, the dashboard, or its database.
- Do not use the bot to collect data about members beyond what its features are meant to provide, or for surveillance unrelated to running your server.
- The raid-simulation and diagnostic tooling is for testing your own server's defenses only. It runs as a dry run and must not be used to disrupt any server.
Accounts
Your login is yours to guard.
Keep your password to yourself and your account secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell the operator promptly if you think it has been compromised. We may suspend or remove accounts that abuse the service or these terms.
Premium and donations
How the paid side currently works.
Premium features are granted manually by the operator. There is no automated billing or subscription at this time. Donations, where offered, are voluntary contributions that help cover hosting, and they are not a purchase of any specific feature or guarantee of service. If automated payments are added later, the terms covering them will be published before they go live.
Availability and warranty
The honest expectations.
LavaBot is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. It is run by a hobbyist on a best-effort basis, so there may be downtime, bugs, or changes to features. Always keep your own backups of anything important. To the maximum extent allowed by law, the operator is not liable for any loss or damage arising from using, or being unable to use, the service.
Changes and ending use
Either side can walk away.
These terms may change as the project grows. Meaningful changes will move the date at the top and appear in the changelog. You can stop using LavaBot at any time by removing it from your servers and deleting your account. The operator may also discontinue the service or remove access where these terms are broken.
